This edited volume addresses the importance of communication in the era of globalization among different political and social actors. Doing so, the authors analyze the general framework within theories of communication were developed in order to apply them to some case studies which provide an interesting overview of the main opportunities, challenges and effects on specific area of post-communist transitions that combine democratic and non-democratic characteristics.
